Roller Coaster Yard Celebrates 25 Years in Barren County
Attention shoppers: The Roller Coaster Yard Sale is celebrating its 25th anniversary in 2010. The 150-mile-long yard sale starts in Cave City and extends into northeastern Tennessee, around Dale Hollow Lake and back to Kentucky. This marathon yard sale is called the roller coaster because Highway 63 – the Cordell Hull Highway – has lots of curves and dips. The popular event takes place the first weekend in October – Thursday, Friday and Saturday – and includes yard sales, crafts, antiques, farmers markets, Southern foods and much more. Visit
